You must read these rules and abide by them. Please take the time to read them before joining.

• You must meet the criteria to join,
  Y.B.B requires a minimum word count of 350 words per in-character post. We will accept writers block at a minimum of 300 words. It isn't hard to write this much, and if you do find this hard, then this site probably isn't for you. Also, your posts must be quality. It is no good having 400 words of poor grammar and rambling. Try not to repeat yourself, and keep pace in your post. If you write 600 words about your character chewing a mouthful of pasta, your role play partner will most likely die.
  
  
• Always consider the setting of the site,
  The Royal University of London is one of England's best universitys. It is exceptionally hard to get accepted into, and caters to very intelligent people. Even those who pay to get in must meet a minimum standard, so no really dumb people getting in on daddy's money. Some, of course, may have cheated on their application and stolen an essay etc, but we don't want everyone pretending to be smart.
  
  
• Your user name name should be appropriate,
  Either your characters name, or your name/alias is fine for a user name. We do not want sxygurl1234, it is irrelevant and hard to remember.
  
  
• Participate in the site activities,
  From time to time, we may hold polls, ask you for suggestions or give out awards. All we ask is that you show willing by involving yourself in ooc activity, as well as ic. This also applies to shout-box chat, if you feel out of the loop, then why not post in the shout-box, or jump in an ooc game, you might feel more involved and make some friends.
  
  
• Don't be afraid to ask,
  We want a sense of community here at Y.B.B, it should be an easy, fun place to be. If you have a question, no matter how stupid it seems, just go for it and ask. No one is going to think that you are brain dead, and chances are, someone will just answer it for you. Nothing scary. If you don't want everyone to see, PM a staff member, we will be elated to help.
  
  
• Staff say jump, you say how high,
  The staff are the law. They are staff because they know how the site needs to work. If they say something, unless it is totally out of order, you must obey it. Arguing with someone who has the power to ban you is silly anyway. We enforce the rules to keep Y.B.B a happy place to be, please don't give us a hard time by defying us.
  
  
• Only one character is allowed per account,
  Any more than one character on an account and the site automatically looks messy and confusing. If you want another character, just make a new account. Simple. Also, if your first character is female, the next must be male, to level out the gender ratio imbalance which nearly always happens.
  
  
• Your name must be your character's full name in lower case,
  no extra characters such as ',*() etc. Just the full name in lower case, for instance sarah jane smith.
  
  
• A signature is mandatory,
  Even if it is two icons of your character, a signature is a must have. It is simply nice to see a face while you role play. If you don't know how to make your signature look good, post at the graphics centre for help.
  
  
• Pregnencies will be decided by staff,
  If your character has sex without protection, you must PM an admin who will decide if they become pregnant or not. If you do become pregnant, an admin will give you details on the pregnancy (e.g. complications, gender, twins etc).
