CLAIREMONT ACADEMY
Originally known as the Clairmont Preperatory School for Girls, it was founded outside of Boston, Massachusetts in 1952 by 28-year-old Catherine Clairemont. Not only was she among the wealthiest socialites in the area, she was also well-educated, having graduated from the nearby Harvard University. Inspired, she sought to bring bright, brilliant young women into society through higher education accompanied by teachings of etiquette, no matter of their financial background.
On one side, it seemed very pretentious of Miss Clairemont, but the school continued to flourish even after her death in 1990. The legacy was continued by her family through her daughter Marlene Roberts. Amongst the changes that were brought about, the school was made co-educational and renamed Clairemont Academy College, and the level of education was changed from from high school to college. Offering majors of all kinds, Clairemont employs many professors that have come from Ivy-League alma maters. Priding itself in its liberal arts education and high standards, the Deans favor a student's character in addition to intelligence along with promise of talent.
So where will you fit, amongst all the socialites and intellects?
