"lost til your found, swim til you drown, know that we all fall down."
basics,
- full name; norah sage paiava
- nickname(s); usually just norah, or anything someone can conjure up
- year; junior
- age; twenty-two
aesthetics,
- play by camilla belle
- tattoo(s); Norah has a small tattoo on her hip bone of a sun, her father had a similar one on his shoulder, and a year or two after his death, she went to a friend involved in a tattoo parlor and had it done for him.
- height; 5'5" or so
- weight; 140 lbs
cognition,
- personality;Norah's never been one to follow the rules. She likes action, and to have a good time. She likes to go out, and she loves nothing more than when someone doubts her or tells her there's something she can't do. People who try to control her push her off the edge. She doesn't usually like being held back because she does what she wants. Sometimes she can be a bit spiteful, but in truth she just likes to feel free.
Since she was little, Norah's been a fan of dry, sarcastic humor, it's just the kind of fun that her father installed in her. They would always joke around, but sometimes that kind of humor doesn't work on people, and she knows it. She's not one to hold grudges or stay angry for too long, it's practically impossible for her even if I try. Norah's just a naturally happy person. She usually likes to see people happy or make people happy even if it's at her own expense. She'll try anything almost once, so I guess you can say that at times she can be a bit wild, but in a way she just feels wiser than others because she's out there experiencing a lot more with her life. She's a risk taker and likes to take chances and say that she knows what something feels like.
Norah can be very understanding as well, because she likes to see all sides of things, which can sometimes make her naive. She can say that sometimes she trusts people too easily but then again, what do she have to lose? She's friendly, and despite her partying person, she's open and she likes to meet new people all the time. Norah doesn't need to be the most popular person out there but it never hurts to have some good friends, right? She doesn't like it when people think they know what she's all about because they definitely don't, but she won't try too hard to change your opinion. She know what she's about and that's all that matters to her.- major; visual arts
- minor; literature
filing,
- history;Norah Paiava was born to Victoria and Gavin Paiava on March 13th, an afternoon where sunlight flew through the windows of the hospital room. To an outsider looking within the doorway of the hospital room, you would see a loving couple cradling their new born baby girl. But things are not always how they seem.
Only a mere month after the birth of the bouncing baby girl, Victoria Paiava or Victoria Reese -her maiden name- left after a simple heated arguement with Gavin about the dripping faucet. Though anyone could see that this was only a stick in the hay stack. Their problems had been rising since they both first learned about their conceived baby girl. While Gavin was head over heels for his wife and completely ecstatic, Victoria was not as thrilled. A baby wasn't where she wanted her life's focus to be, as an aspiring singer Victoria felt that little Norah would ruin her chances at ever hitting it big. She packed up her bags that very night and took off, taking the needed money from their joint bank accounts and jetting off to from their Long Island, New York home to the fabulous LA, Victoria was gone, and her only remnants were the divorce papers served by mail with her signature already on the dotted line.
Life grew steadily harder for Gavin as he was forced to raise his one month old daughter all on his own. The struggling lawyer made due with what he could, which wasn't all that bad, and still made time to be the role model father to young Norah. As a father he lived to make her smile, and longed to hear her giggle everyday when he got home from work. Norah was the epitome of a daddy's girl, going to baseball games together, and learning everything he had to teach. But at age twelve, Gavin's career was at it's peak, and he had become one of the best defense attorney's in the counter, but while rushing out on the way to what could've been yet another career defining court case, Gavin took the chance of trying to make it through the yellow-changing-red light, and was taken out by a speeding cop car.
From the moment that Norah walked into the main office of her school after being called down, she knew something was wrong. Lucas Gordon, a local cop and friend of her father's was forced to tell her the news. From age twelve on Norah was put into the care of her cousin Aaron living in London. Aaron, being an artist has himself pretty well off, allowing Norah to live in his small house. She's settled in and content with what she's got, although she's storing her inheritance of her father's accumulated fortune from work for her future. The two have always gotten along fairly well, and although he loves her Aaron isn't about to tell her how to live her life. Norah's gotten used to the London setting and although she likes the area, she dreams of leaving everyday.- relatives in play,(Aaron isn't a real character on here, but I might make him one day) Norah's cousin Aaron was a student here majoring in Visual Arts as well.

SHADOW MOUNTAIN LODGE, FIVE-FIFTEEN PM, PETER
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ski lodge was home to a masquerade of people that were adorned in clothing all fit for the polar ice caps. Shivering cold with the residue of the snow they'd stomped all over on their boots, and teeth chattering enough to possibly take of a bit of their tongue. But as Natalie's emerald colored eyes scanned the lodge she didn't find the one person she was looking for. Breathing in the warm air, she tried to gain warmth like everyone else by breathing normally hoping the deep red pigmentation in her nose and cheeks would dissolve. Running a gloved hand over her head she pulled off the brown hat that had been used to cover her head and ears, keeping her brain warm and fully functional. Her opposite hand rigidly reached into ther pocket producing the crisp new Blackberry Bold, and flicking through the contacts landing on the one she needed.
Natalie often got frustrated when things didn't come to her as easy, which was probably intolerant and wrong of her but it was how she was. He would always tease her for the frazzled state she could be found in when she grew frustrated. She could say that as she looked back at herself, she was a quite a reck sometimes, but right now she was fairly relaxed. He'd be so proud. Her fingers slid over the keys, scrolling her contact book for Peter Cox. She stopped her moving fingers, and looked up and around in hopes of her emerald colored eyes skimming over him, and letting her go on with her life without the fuss of searching for him. She was lazy to put it simply. Hell, the first thing she did when she got rather than unpack was hop in the tub and sit there. Until she was interrupted that was, but we're not there yet. Right now she was focused on finding her best friend.
It was refreshing being around Peter. He'd stayed grounded for as long as she'd known him, and remained the Peter that she loved -as a friend....sort of. Her face turned pained as she thought about their 'friendship'. As much as she enjoyed Peter's company, she couldn't help but feel different everytime she was around him. She knew he did too, but for some reason the universe didn't want them to speak of it; so they obeyed. She swallowed the lump that emerged in her throat as she thought of their many close encounters, and the flirty way they joked with one another. It was just asking to be recognized, but it probably never would. Ever.
The commotion of the lounge fueled people to talk with one another. She could see random being talking all around her a well as some of the students on the trip that opted out of the mountain's fresh powder. She'd do that later, right now she wanted to discuss these absurd room assignments and rules, and then praise them. And here she was thinking this trip wouldn't be interesting. Silly girl. The mid-day sun allowed some light to shine into the lodge, and give a bright warm glow. The sun was held over a coast of arbors the through insanely large window looking out Aspen. The bright burning star was lowering in the sky signalling that the afternoon was coming, followed by the dark, but city-lit night. Natalie wondered what she would be doing tonight if her and Peter weren't still together. Maybe she'd call Rea and they could go out somewhere, but then again they were on a trip. She needed to let off some steam, being roommates with CT made her very frustrated -in a good way though. She didn't know what he wanted from her anymore. She wasn't even going to attempt to sort out her own thoughts. That was just asking for trouble. She made a mental note not to mention her friendship with Rea to Peter, he probably wouldn't approve of images of the two girls outings in his head. That's just they way they were with each other, protective. She didn't know whether that was a good sign or a bad sign, but decided to drop the topic.
Her fingers grazed across the keys, asking Peter where he was, before pressing the green send button, the screen lighting up when the message had indeed been sent. Holding the gadget in her hands, she awaited his reply. Her eyes finally caught onto a familiar head of short brown hair not too far away on a couch by the window. When the side of his face was revealed she smiled a bit hurrying over behind him, making sure he couldn't see her. She smirked dropping her phone back into her purse before reaching where he was sitting calmly, "This is your first vacation out of the state of Florida, and you're sitting in the ski lodge?" she spoke in an amused, and sarcastic way. It was pretty obvious that she was only joking with him, but also telling the truth but she just liked to joke around. That's what made their friendship as good as it was. C'mon though, it was his first time out of the state of Florida! Pete, we know the hotel in absolutely beautiful, but there's so much more to see.
